Profiles of 71 First World War soldiers from Guysborough County, Nova Scotia, all of whom died while in uniform, the majority in military combat. While the majority served with Nova Scotian battalions, some served with units from New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and Western Canada, also providing a glimpse into the roles of various military battalions and some non-combat units in the war's events. Volume two, covering the years 1918 to 1937 was published in November, 2017. Author Bruce Francis MacDonald lives in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
