Paul Pettitt is Professor of Palaeolithic Archaeology at Durham University, specializing in the European Middle and Upper Palaeolithic. He has conducted archaeological fieldwork in Spain, France, Italy, Moldova and teh United Kingdom, and has been a ream member in projects as far afield as Mexico and Borneo.
