Vladimir Nikolaevich Megre was born in 1950 in Kuznichi village, Gorodnyansky District, Chernigov Region in Ukraine. During 1994-5 an encounter with Anastasia in the Siberian taiga changed his entire life. The mystery was revealed in his books with Anastasia as the main character. Throughout 1996-2006 he wrote the nine books of the Ringing Cedars of Russia series were written, In 1999 Megre launched the website anastasia.ru/en/ - an international portal to Ringing Cedars. In 2010 another book "Anasta" was issued.
