Summary:
"Napoleon Hill was best known for 'Think and Grow Rich,' which explained his common sense approach to wealth-building. Retired and living in South Carolina in the mid-1950s, he remained intent on spreading his philosophy and offered a series of lectures in Oklahoma explaining his views on success, happiness, and more. The recordings of these lectures were never released, and only recently found in the archives of the Napoleon Hill Foundation. Now published in this volume, these lectures show Napoleon Hill as a teacher, philosopher, and eternal optimist who believed in the power of individuals to achieve any goals they establish. According to Hill, too many people waste their time because they lack direction. Hill believes that having definiteness of purpose allows individuals to develop self-reliance, imagination, creativity, and more. Furthermore, it inspires confidence in one's integrity and character and attracts the favorable attention of other people. The man who knows where his is going and is determined to get there will always find willing helpers to cooperate with him. Definiteness of purpose is just one of the ingredients of genius, which also includes a postitive mental attitude, enthusiasm, imaginaton, motive, personal initiative backed by intense action, the habit of going the extra mile, and forming a master mind alliance with other people."--Jacket.
