Summary:
"This sparkling 1941 musical tour of Miami's glamorous social set stars Betty Grable, Carole Landis, Don Ameche, Robert Cummings and Charlotte Greenwood. Weary of their waitress jobs at a Texas drive-in, Kay and Barbara Latimer (Grable and Landis) gamble every cent they've got on an elaborate plot to land at least one rich husband. With Kay posing as a wealthy heiress, Barbara as her secretary and Aunt Susan (Greenwood) as their maid, they head for Miami in search of millionaires. It almost works: Although wealthy playboy Jeff Boulton (Robert Cummings) falls for the gorgeous Kay, she winds up losing her heart to Phil O'Neil (Don Ameche), who hasn't got a dime. And the complications continue from there in this enjoyable romp filled with love songs under the palms and lively nightclub extravaganzas."--Container.
