    Summary:
"Linton Garner was the musician's musician. He came to the attention of the jazz world with the Fletcher Henderson orchestra in the early 1940s and went on to work as a composer, arranger and pianist with Billy Eckstine, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis and many others. His career took him from Pittsburgh to New York, Los Angeles, Montréal and Vancouver. At the age of 87 he composed and performed a musical tribute to his brother Erroll (1923-1977), one of the world's great jazz pianists. "I wanted to write about how I felt," he said, "not just about Erroll's music but about Erroll himself." This moving film, with its rare concert footage, is a testament to the musical genius and humanitarian spirit of a man who dedicated his life to the 20th-century art form that changed the world."--Container.
