Summary:
A collection of essays by double Hugo Award-winning essayist and fantasy novelist Kameron Hurley. Essays on feminism, geek culture, and her experiences and insights as a genre writer. Unapologetically outspoken, Hurley has contributed essays to The Atlantic, Locus, Tor.com, and others on the rise of women in genre and her passion for Science Fiction and Fantasy. Kameron Hurley is an American science fiction and fantasy writer. Her first trilogy, the Bel Dame Apocrypha, is set on a far-future desert planet whose technology is based on insects and whose matriarchal, Islam-inspired cultures are locked in perpetual war. Her second trilogy, the Worldbreaker Saga, is a dark epic fantasy that aims to subvert the genre's tropes such as the hero's journey.
