    Description:
    161 p. : col. ill. ; 22 cm.
    Summary:
The aim of this book is to introduce young children to a variety of artistic expressions: people from different cultures and time periods created art according to their own vision. It is meant to be initially read by an adult and child together, as an Image-and-Word book. Each subject is represented by several works of art, accompanied by its name in five languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese. Young children are introduced to vocabulary in multiple languages while looking at great works of art. At the end of the book are the unspecified "question mark" pages: pictures showing one or more of the previous themes, but with no description (except their provenance). The viewer might playfully remember the subjects in more than one language.
