    Summary:
The Wilde family storyline starts in a village in Galacia, Austro-Hungarian Empire in the 1800's, where three generations of the family lived. With the tragedy of losing her husband, comes a strong willed woman, Veronica Wild, and the immigration to Canada with her three young boys. Arriving in Saskatchewan, a land of great promise, along with hardships, comes a first hand account of the pioneering experience at the turn of the century. On the Isle of Eigg, Scotland members of the MacDonald clan decide to emigrate Scotland to the coastal village of Arisag, Nova Scotia. After graduating from a prestigious local college, Mary Ann MacDonald travels to a rural town in Saskatchewan, where the family roots blossom. --back cover.
