Summary:
"Charles E. Bower, known mostly as Charlie, died on July 17, 2015, after a 4 year journey with one of the most dreadful diseases, ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). His life during his 73 years was about doing what excited him, what gave him meaning, and above all having deep, meaningful conversations. This did not stop with his diagnosis. He was a lifelong learner, successful entrepreneur, and a dedicated journal keeper for at least 40 years. When Charlie lost the use of his hands, he turned to the Dragon Naturally Speaking Program that enabled him to continue this practice, which is how his blog began. He shared his journey with the world like a reporter on the front lines, bringing information and a deeper understanding of the mysteries of death. Published posthumously by his loving partner, Pauline, "Living The Gift" is Charlie's story in his own words. Charles said he wrote this book as a Front Line reporter bringing information about the mysterious event called dying"--Provided by publisher.
