    Summary:
"The 1960's and 1970's ushered in a massive revitalization of Indigenous consciousness, culture and stories. Indigenous publications of the 1970's were often grounded in traditional stories and also in voicing Indigenous experiences. The publication of The Black Ship by Gerry William in 1994 marked the first Indigenous science fiction novel in Canada. This is the first Indigenous science fiction anthology in Canada. It is hoped that this book will, both draw upon the power of traditional stories, and also upon the vast narrative imagination of Indigenous peoples, embodied in contemporary sci fi and speculative storytelling. Many established Indigenous authors have contributed to this volume, including Eden Robinson, Richard Van Camp, Lee Maracle, Drew H. Taylor, Daniel David Moses and Harold Johnson"--Provided by publisher.
