This online database contains information on the shipping industry of
Atlantic
Canada, derived from two British record series, and structured as fully interactive databases. The first database is compiled from the Certificates of Registry for ten major ports of
Atlantic
Canada. The second database is compiled from the crew agreements of vessels registered in
Atlantic
Canadian ports for the period 1863-1914. The third database contains a one per cent random sample of crew agreements from non-Canadian vessels.
For use only by registered patrons of Halifax Public Libraries. Can only be used on-site at one of Halifax Public Libraries' branches.
