Summary:  Sir Pierre-Amand Landry was the first Acadian to become a lawyer, provincial cabinet minister and superior court judge, as well as the first to be knighted. Landry was among the organizers of the first National Convention of Acadians in 1881 and played a key role in the appointment of the first Acadian senator and first Acadian bishop.
