This dictionary is designed to provide information on the current pronunciation of approximately 80,000 English words and phrases. For each entry, a British and an American pronounciation is shown. The pronunciation is given in modified phonemic transcription, and you need to understand the principles of phonemic transcription to be able to make proper use of this information. The accompanying CD-ROM contains spoken pronounciations for every entry.
