    Summary:
"It was 4:10 AM, April 29, 1903. In the coal mining town of Frank, in the Crowsnest Pass of the southern Canadian Rockies, most of the 600 residents were sound asleep. Then without warning, the peaceful night was shattered by the sudden roar of a landslide. Some 900 million tons of rock cracked away from the east face of Turtle Mountain, slamming into the town and earning Frank a place in history as the site of North America's deadliest rockslide. In less than 100 seconds at least 70 people were killed. On the Edge of Destruction reveals the personal stories of Frank's citizens - some who died in the tragedy, others who miraculously survived. Through historic photographs, stunning aerial photography, gripping re-enactments and 3D animation, this film explores the amazing coincidences and explains the geological conditions that all came together during 90 seconds of hell on earth."--Container.
