    Summary:
"Amongst the treasure trove of intangible items our Gàidhlig ancestors brought with them from their Scottish homeland were their faith, language, culture, and prejudices. They also brought along, perhaps unknowingly, their humour and wit. It is with this awareness that Clan MacNeil has put together this DVD. Every Gàidhlig community has its own unique cast of compelling characters know for their wit, wisdom and sharp retorts. Certainly these stories and repartee from the communitues of Iona, Washabuck and Christmas Island, in Central Cape Breton, portray a modest sampling, of these attributes as demonstarted by a more recent cast of Gàidhlig descendants. It was our goal to present these amusing anecdotes in warm, cosy settings, for our family, friends, and neighbours, to relish, enjoy, and truly appreciate. So this effort tries to show the good displayed by our Gàidhlig ancestors, through their wit, humour and ingenuity; and perhaps therefore, it would be worthwhile for us to pause, if only for a moment, to thank them for enriching our lives with their jest and wittiness. We hope we have succeeded. You be the judge. Tapadh leibh."--Container.
