Summary:
Diagnosed with retinal cancer at the age of two, Ben Underwood had his eyes removed at the age of three. He faced a world full of things he'd never be able to see and activities he'd never be able to enjoy. But Ben mastered human echolocation
--
the ability to detect the size, shape and location of objects through the reflection of sound waves. By making frequent clicking noises with his tongue. Ben could ride his bike, shoot baskets, identify objects, and even play video games. Some called it a miracle. The remarkable true story of how a child who seemed destined for darkness brought light to the world. Ben Underwood is the subject of the YouTube video "The Boy Who Sees Without Eyes." He died in 2009 at the age of 16, from the same cancer that took his vision.
