Sanderson
(Amo Binashii) is the Prichard Wilson Chair in Law and Public Policy at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and has served as a senior policy advisor to Ontario's attorney general and minister of Indigenous affairs. Their book 'Valley of the Birdtail' presents a history of the town of Rossburn, Manitoba and the Waywayseecappo reserve, neighbouring communities that have become separate and unequal over the past 150 years. Multiple generations of two families -- one white and one indigenous -- are followed in this story of racism and reconciliation.
