The well-traveled, well-appointed divorcee, Mrs. Adela Bradley (played by Diana Rigg), who dabbles in psycho-analysis, toxicology, pre-feminism, and murder investigations, together with her devoted chauffeur and confidant George Moody (played by Neil Dudgeon), gets the lowdown on the upper crust - much to the amusement of Police Inspector Christmas (played by Peter Davison). This series is set in the high-mannered 1920s England, complete with the glittering costumes, lavish cars, and hot jazz music of the Roaring Twenties.
