    Summary:
"The Drum Story is a beautiful and ancient legend about how a young Ojibwe girl recieved the gift of a drum and how she used that gift to help her people find peace. Told in the time-honoured spoken fashion long practiced by indigenous people, The Drum Story is a rare opportunity to experinece an original indigenous story. The Drum Story is a beautiful example of how indigenous stories blend teaching with a compelling presentation. The Drum Story features Falcon Migwans, a respected story teller, drummer, singing expert and teacher. The viewer will hear the story as it has been handed down over the centuries and learn how respect for our elders and living with Mother Earth are paths to understanding and peace. Captioned in English and Ojibwe. The DVD includes English and Ojibwe audio versions with captioning for each language. It also includes an introduction, featuring the culture and history of the Ojibwe people. All Indigenous People Project stories include a teaching and library guide, are filled with original art and music and provide wonderful insight into cultures that many Canadians know little about. A drum craft kit is sold separately; the DVD includes a special feature showing Falcon Migwans demonstrating how to construct the drum craft as well as written instructions."--Container.
