"Captain Donald H. Duffy. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Captain Donald H. Duffy was educated in local schools and graduated from St. Malachy's Memorial High School. In completing his marine training and certification, Captain Duffy attended the Saint John School of Marine Technology, the Nova Scotia Nautical Institute and Holland College. He obtained his Master Mariner's certification in 1985. Before joining the pilotage service in Saint John, New Brunswick in February 1990, his entire sea going career was on the local Irving Company vessels. Captain Duffy is currently [2008] a sitting board member of the Atlantic Pilotage Authority, a member of the Canadian Merchant service Guild and the Canadian Marine Pilots' Association. E. Neil McKelvey, OC,QC. Mr. McKelvey, born in Saint John, N.B. in 1925, is counsel for Stewart McKelvey. He graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1949 and practiced law in Saint John, N.B. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1960. He served as president of the International Bar Association in 1978-80, president of the Canadian Bar Association in 1973-74, and as a director of several large Canadian companies. He was appointed an officer of the Order of Canada in 1986, and recieved an honourary D.C.L. from University of New Brunswick in 1980. His father, Fen McKelvey, was a pilot for 44 years. This allowed Neil to experience first hand the life of a Saint John harbour Pilot. He authored 'I chose Law,' his memoirs."--Back cover.
