Summary:
A brief description of some of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche's students, activites, and teachings from 1968-1973, by a member of the Pygmy Farm, a hippie commune in Boulder, Colorado. Padmasambhava -- the lotus born -- overcame cultural, political, and spiritual obstacles to bring the Buddhist teachings to Tibet from India in the ninth century. Likewise, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche had to conquer religious and cultural opposition to Buddhism -- the secret teachings, in particular -- to establish his community in North America in the twentieth century.
Jim
