A nostalgic recollection of the Klondike gold rush in the winter of 1897-1898. The commentary by the well-known author and TV personality, Dawson Cityborn Pierre Berton, based largely on stories told to him by his father who spent 40 years in the Klondike, vividly recaptures the frenzied months when prospectors braved untold hardships in search of the elusive yellow metal. Live footage and vintage photographs help bring alive the men and women who made Yukon history.
