Both want to make it over the mountains ahead of the storm, Brad to attend a party announcing his engagement, Lisa because she is desperate to get anywhere, so long as it is away from the mysterious circumstances she is running from. They are forced to take shelter at The Rosemont, a once-great winter resort, which has seen better days. After losing her daughter and granddaughter, the canankerous owner Josephine has let it fall into despair.
