On June 10, 2005, the Fire Marshal initiated a Select Committee to study these concerns to address the following: The delivery of appropriate equipment and responders to the scene of an incident in an efficient and timely fashion for the purpose of investigation, medical treatment, rescue, fire suppression, hazardous materials containment and environmental protection.
