"StingRay is a stuffed stingray. She is new to the Little Girl’s home -- and very lonely (though she won’t admit it). There’s no one for company but a horrid stuffed walrus named Bobby Dot and a sheep who can’t even get through a game of checkers without falling asleep. Still, StingRay finds adventure everywhere. She runs away (and gets found), rescues Sheep from a thorny bush, and tries to make friends with a very scary towel. When Bobby Dot meets with puke and an unfortunate end, wonderful new toys come to take his place, and the Little Girl’s room starts to feel like home. There’s a stuffed buffalo named Lumphy and a bouncy round thing named Plastic. Together, the new friends tackle important questions, such as: What is bowling? Why is blue the best color?
