    Summary:
"CBC Television's Land and Sea has been bringing you stories about the people and places of Newfoundland and Labrador since 1964. Now, in association with Downhome Inc, Canada's preeminent Atlantic culture publisher, CBC is pleased to offer this special series on DVD. Volume two includes some of the most popular episodes. Their Story: They were the last to leave the resettlement outport of Paradise, and they were the first to come back--to fish every summer. A Land and Sea crew filmed the Pomeroy's when they first returned to their abandoned outport. Then, 30 years later, we caught up with the Pomeroy's again. The children, now grown, kept the tradition of returning every summer. And Patricia Pomeroy, at 76, was still calling Paradise home. Uncle Jim: For more than 60 years, Uncle Jim Anderson has been photographing life in Makkovik, an isolated community on the remote coast of Labrador. His collection of film and photos, documents a way of unique to the Labrador coast and a people who are proud of their heritage. Never Forgotten: It was Christmas Eve in Hodge's Cove, Trinity Bay. The Year was 1976 Dennis Drover was just a boy. He remembers his father and his friend leaving the harbor to check their nets. It was the last time he would see his father alive. The bodies of Hedley Drover and Willis Thomas were recovered the next day -- a Christmas Day Dennis never forgot. Bonus Episode: The Mummers Show: It's become a Christmas tradition in Newfoundland and Labrador. Featuring the music of Simani, The Mummers Show has retained its timeless appeal. And the highlight has always been a kitchen visit from the mummers. Enjoy this page from the book of Christmases past."--Contaier.
