Chanelle Jefferson is an interdisciplinary artist from the South Shore of Nova Scotia. She is recognized for her use of line throughout her work and the communities she creates. Chanell's subject matter focuses on themes that combine everyday observation, mindfulnes, meaningful connection and healing through her use of blind contour methods. She makes her single-line drawings without looking at the paper, resulting in her unique style. Alongside Channelle's daily art practice, she hosts retreats and creates spaces for creatives to reconnect, learn and grow their business. Chanelle graduated from Concordia University with a BFA in Studio Arts and minor in Environmental Geology. She created 'My Nova Scotia Cookbook' when she was 18 and has since completed multiple independent projects. Such as her solo show, 'Along the South Shore,' shown at the Lunenburg School of the Arts in 2019. (...)
