Lunar Jim is a pre-school-oriented stop-motion television show produced in Canada by the Halifax Film Company and Alliance Atlantis.

A set of six little board books, each one is 90 x 90mm / 10 pages where the back covers make a simple jigsaw puzzle.

Lunar Jim is a stop-motion animation series that transports young children into an exciting world of discovery, fun and adventure. Lunar Jim lives in Moonaluna - a place much like any other, but with one huge difference - it's on the moon! Blue Moon L22, that is, second to last moon on the edge of the Milky Way - a place where the unexpected and fantastic can and does happen. Jim and his team's mission: to explore and settle this strange and wondrous new place. Focusing on the fun of exploration and inquiry, Lunar Jim promotes the active learning of such life skills as problem-solving, persistence, creativity and cooperation, with an inherent emphasis on 'pre-science skills'. Above all, Lunar Jim is about taking delight in discovery. Lunar Jim is an action series, that doesn't take itself too seriously. Each fun-filled adventure incorporates humour, excitement, and 'lunar twists' as Jim and his fellow space explorers face each new challenge with Jim's rallying cry of "Let's get lunar!"
