"To celebrate the Sesquicentennial of Canada, volunteers of the Fort Sackville Foundation decided to research and create a timeline of historic events covering 150 years since Confederation. The timeline includes two parallel histories, 150 years of our community - Bedford, Nova Scotia, and 150 years of events and news in Canada, including formation of additional provinces and territories, and inventions and events throughout the world that impacted life both in Canada and in Bedford. A separate monograph produced by the Fort Sackville Fondation contains the fascinating information found on the timelines.
