This book reads from right to left.

The story thus far, the year is 1923. Takiko has just lost her mother to illness when she gets into an argument with her father. She tries to rip up the book he's been translating from Chinese, The Universe of the Four Gods, only to be sucked into its pages. There, she is told that she is the legendary Priestess of Genbu who is destined to save the country of Bêi-jîa. She must travel across the land with Chamka (Tomite), one of the seven Celestial Warriors, to find the rest of the warriors. Another Celestial Warrior, Limdo (Uruki), joins the opposing Qu-dong army to learn its secrets. Their journey has only begun.

Rated T+ for older teens. Ages 16 and up. Viz Media.
