The fun begins when hapless Homer Flagg (Lewis) learns from his physician, Dr. Harris (Martin), that he's dying from radiation poisoning. When a New York newspaper reporter (Janet Leigh) hears of Homer's plight, she decides to do a series of articles on the unfortunate New Mexico man. Before she heads west, however, Harris informs Homer that the diagnosis is a mistake. But that doesn't stop them for accepting the reporter's offer for a swanky trip to Manhattan, where the two attempt to keep up the pretense in this side-splitting comedy of errors."--Container.
