When Reed makes Moon's best friend Granite City Chief of Police Scott Parish a wager with ten to one odds that Parish can't keep him alive for a month, Moon wants in on the action. Reed can't (or won't?) say anything about the who's, how's, where's, and why's with any real precision, but he does give Parish the date and time. And that's more than enough information for Moon who thinks he's on his way to saving the ranch with a bet.
