    Megy Karydes is a Chicago-based writer and communication professional. Her work has appeared in USA today, National Geographic, The Atlantic, Sierra Club, Forbes, Eating Well, Architectural Digest, Midwest Living, and elsewhere. Megy aslo helped lead and manage communications campaigns and projects for science-focused and social justice organizations. She teaches graduate-level communications courses at Johns Hopkins University. She journals every morning and does kickboxing at night as a way to de-stress after a long day.
